A Quick Review Of Our Jetboil Flash
We took a while to decide on purchasing a Jetboil for camping, because we weren’t sure if it was worth the price (US$109.95 from R.E.I.) but now that we’ve used it a few times I’m going to give our thoughts on our purchase and let you know if we think it’s worth it.
Jetboil is a popular brand known for camping stoves and outdoor cooking gear. They use ‘flux ring efficiency’ to power their cooking systems and create products that are easy to use, pack and cook great meals whilst on the road.

Our thoughts & Jetboil Flash review:
Are we happy with the purchase?
Yes, it is really lightweight, easy to use
What do you like most about it?
The stove burner and a 100g fuel canister can fit into the Jetboil pot which makes it easy to pack!
It boils water fast! You can boil 2 cups of water in less than 2 minutes which makes morning coffee on a cold morning even more of a treat.
The Jetboil has an ‘integrated pot’ meaning one less item to bring backpacking. You can hold the pot without burning yourself and it has a handle for pouring, but you can also eat or drink straight from the Jetboil pot for less cleaning too.
What don’t we like about it?
After paying over $100 for the Jetboil, you then have to purchase the fuel canisters separately.
Is it worth the price?
I believe there are cheaper versions of this at Target and Walmart that probably would do the trick, especially if you don’t plan to use it often. However, we’re happy with the quality of this product as well as the 1 year warranty on it.
